We have 3 cats, Timothy, Puff and Ashe. They're a source of ENDLESS amusement to us.
Timothy is the alpha male of the bunch, which is interesting, as he was the runt of his litter. He and Puff are brothers from the same litter, and he tolerates Ashe (usually). He's a lap cat, but only when he wants to be - don't pick him up, he'll come to you when *he* feels like it. He's dignified and composed, though he has quite a temper. Watching him play is fun, because he's not very good at it. He gets bored with batting at things, probably because he doesn't hit his mark as often as he would like. His favorite games are wrestling with Puff and chasing a terrified Ashe around the house. He's the boss, and don't you forget it!
Puff and Timothy are litter mates (not to be confused with litterBOX mates, which they *also* are). Puff isn't a lap cat, but when he wants to be petted, he wants to be petted RIGHT NOW!!! When it's time for some pettin, he'll walk up, get right in your face, and meow like he means it. Puff is not as particular about who he plays with. He likes to wrestle with Ashe, play tag with Timothy, play rough-n-tough with David, and wants to kill the laser. I mean seriously wants the red dot to die. When he can't find someone to play with, he's perfectly content to entertain himself, tossing play mice up into the air, then batting at them as they fall. He's especially fond of Fat Cat toys - he sometimes sleeps with any of a half-dozen Crackle or Snuggle Bugs we've gotten him. He sleeps on his back, sprawled out on whatever surface he feels like napping on. It's his house, after all.
Ashe is the youngest of our 3 cats. He's one of the sweetest animals ever, purring whenver anyone looks at him. He's also pretty chunky, weighing in between 13 (on slender days) and 17 pounds (at his chunkiest). We put him on fatcat food (Iams Blue Bag - they hate the blue bag). He sleeps with Maggie every night, sleeping with at least one paw touching her at all times, and with his head on her pillow. His nicknames are "Ashie-Poo," "Little Ashe" (kinda like calling a big guy "Tiny"), and "Poo-Poo." Doesn't matter what you call him, he'll answer with a purr and a smile. Mixed Pictures
